Brad Pitt Praises Kanye Wests Sunday Service Talks Battle With Alcoholism

Brad Pitt has a hit movie on his hands and is already getting plenty of Oscar buzz for his role in Ad Astra.  While his professional life is on a high note, Brad Pitt is being open about his spirituality and health. He’s also recently opened up about his battle with alcoholism and revealed during an interview with The Project, that after his break-up with Angelina Jolie, he attended AA meetings that were geared towards men. He also opened up about his recent visit to Kanye West’s Sunday Service that was held in L.A.’s Watts. Speaking of the event, Pitt stated that Kanye is doing something really special.

At 55-years-old, Brad Pitt has reached the height of success, but he still struggles in his private life. After his divorce from Angelina, Brad says he is working on making himself the best father he can be to his six children. This includes a commitment to sobriety and taking life one day at a time. Part of that includes celebrating the spiritual side of life.

On Monday, Pitt spoke to ET where he discussed his attendance at Kanye’s service. He attended on Labor Day weekend but had actually been to Kanye’s services before. Raised as a Southern Baptist, Pitt is showing that his spiritual roots are still strong.

Speaking to ET, Brad Pitt stated the following about Kanye’s Sunday Service.

“I think he was doing something really special there. It’s a pure celebration of life and people. It’s really delightful. It really is.”

Photos and videos of Brad Pitt interacting with fans following the service went viral and many were surprised to see how down-to-earth Brad Pitt truly is.

While Brad Pitt is making the interview rounds promoting Ad Astra, it was his comments regarding his struggle with alcoholism that had the Internet talking on Tuesday. Speaking to The Project, Brad stated it was important for him to be open about his battle. It seems that is the case as he certainly opened up to interviewer Carrie Bickmore.

Brad stated that it’s important for people to remember that we are essentially all the same and all have our own demons. He also said in order to heal from the hurts that were the underlying cause of his alcoholism, he needed to speak out about them so that they could be dealt with, healed, and then he could move on. What do you think of Brad Pitt’s openness?
